Toli: Team Organization
There are only six "named" player designations, Red Captain, White Captain, Falamichi, Shooter, and Goalie. The Red Captain is the "War Leader" or team leader on the field. The White Captain is the organizational leader and takes care of "administrative details" for the team. The Falamichi is the defender who plays opposite the Shooter and throws the ball from behind their goal toward the enemy team's goal. The Shooter is the primary offensive player and plays behind the goal he or she is scoring on. Finally, the Goalie is the last line of defense in front of the goal. It is the primary duty of the Goalie to let the ball hit him or her rather than hit the Goal. Additionally most teams have two additional, non-playing positions. These are the Ball Witch and the Drummer. The Ball Witch "magics" the opposing team to play poorly while assisting his or her own team in playing well. The Drummer sets the pace of the game for ther team. When the action is intense, usually around one of the Goals, the drumming is loud and fast. When the ball is in midfield the drumming tends to be more relaxed, almost as if it's waiting to burst forth once again. |
